We thought we would share some suggestions because let's face it, there's a lot on your plate! As if everything else you have going on in your life is busy enough, you get to plan YOUR wedding! Yes, it is fun but can be overwhelming from time to time! We understand things can and might get a little stressful! So we thought might help and share some suggestions to make this whole process fun and exciting! We want to help you feel ready and confident for your photos!
For Engagements: We often get asked the question, "What should we wear for our engagement photos"? We are so HAPPY to get asked that question! Since you probably don't get your engagements taken everyday, here are a few suggestions! You will have the opportunity for two outfit changes while on our photo session together. One casual look and one formal look.
Casual look: A nice blouse, button up, or sweater paired with a long flowy skirt, or a pair of pants looks great! For the shoes; heels, flats, sandals, and ankle boots tie it all together. (Obviously wear the type of shoes according to the weather and season) We suggest wearing neutral colors for the casual look, We like to call it "Casual but still classy"
Formal look: Long flowy dresses, skirts, and blouses layered with a cardigan help make women feel and look feminine. Neutral colored heels, flats, sandals and ankle boots are recommended. (Flip Flops are not recommended!) Accessories such as a simple or bold necklace, earrings, or bracelets helps the look come together. If your hair is short or long we highly suggest wearing your hair down, either curled, wavy or straight because it photographs beautifully at all angles.
Whether you're getting your makeup professionally done or you're doing it yourself the more the makeup the better! Have you ever heard of "Cake Face?" Well that is perfectly ok when you are getting your photos taken! The more the better! Neutral eyeshadow, fake eyelashes, blush, bronzer, lipstick, lipgloss, you name it! Makeup helps tie in your outfit and helps completes the look! Makeup also helps prevent you looking washed out and helps the photos come alive!
Casual look: I know guys, you probably would be ok taking your photos in basketball shorts and a t-shirt! So even though we say "casual" it doesn't mean the roll out of bed look! (haha) So for the casual look a button up or a patterned button up paired with neutral colored khakis with nice brown/black/gray shoes looks amazing! Feel free to bring a jacket, a vest, or a sweater to have a few layering pieces.
Formal look: A white or neutral colored button down shirt with a sports jacket or cardigan is highly recommended. Dark colored dress slacks or khakis paired paired with a black or brown belt is key for men to look masculine and look very put together! Black, grey, or tan closed toed shoes are recommended. Accessories include, ties, bow ties, and watches.
For Bridals: There isn't a whole lot for the bridal session we need to tell you about! Obviously you will be wearing your dress and suit! So we will keep it sweet and simple!
You and your dress are really all we need to capture amazing photos! But incase you want some suggestions, here they are! Flower bouquets and flower crowns are beautiful! Delicate earrings, necklaces, and bracelets are suggested as well! An elegant heel is great to wear or bring with you so we can photograph them in the setting we are in.

Sounds a bit strange, but I also recommend a sheer lipgloss for girls 3+ just so their lips don't look chapped!
Your suit, a nice pressed ironed shirt, with some dress shoes paired with a belt is all you need! Just make sure your hair and smile are ready to go!
Wedding day: We know there will be a million things to photograph on your big day! With that being said, we like to take more personable items to photograph, such as your wedding dress on a hanger, your flowers positioned with the wedding rings, your wedding shoes, and even the perfume bottle you might have with you! All of these little details matter! SO before your wedding, if you have something special you want photographed please don't hesitate to ask! We look for opportunities like this!
